Keep An Eye On Your Tires
With summer heat comes tire blowout season. By keeping your tires in good shape and checking them regularly, you can extend their life during the tough summer months. Routine checks can best be remembered with the three I’s: Inflation, Impact, and Internal weight. Making sure your tires are properly inflated drastically impacts the quality of life for your tires. An underinflated tire puts undue stress on tire internals and can lead to tire failure. Avoiding heavy impacts on your tires like potholes and debris is also important. Finally, insuring your load is within the maximum capacity of your truck’s capabilities matters especially when latent air and asphalt temperatures climb into the 90’s.
