It’s no secret that the holiday season is the busiest season for logistics of the whole year.  According to the National Retail Federation, “November and December will grow between 6 percent and 8 percent over 2021 to between $942.6 billion and $960.4 billion” (Forbes article here).  Here at Texas Elite Logistics, we specialize in handling a large increase of logistical challenges with efficiency and timeliness.

With many of us looking forward to much-needed downtime during the holidays, those who work in shipping and logistics are kicking it into overdrive to keep our country moving.  In delivery and warehouse positions, “UPS is hiring more than 100,000 seasonal workers (in line with the last 2 years). These positions are for seasonal delivery and CDL drivers, package handlers, and driver helpers” (Forbes).  Furthermore, “Amazon said it will hire 150,000 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees across its warehouses ahead of the holiday season” (Forbes).

If you or anyone you love is working logistics this holiday season, send them a gift or an encouraging word!  It can be a lonely and exhausting time for many working in transportation, so be sure to express your appreciation for those who work hard to help your holiday dreams come true.  From our team at Texas Elite Logistics, we want to wish you a happy holiday season and safe travels!
